Graduating College???

So... today was surprisingly eventful! After planning to go to an advising appointment about possible internship opportunities, I left with awesome news!! So... as of now, I really want to do the SEED internship next spring. If I am not able to do that, I am still planning on finding an internship to do for that semester. So, I looked into the classes and credits I need to get done before I can graduate...(BTW, I am talking about GRADUATING COLLEGE. NO WAY. AHHHH.) Anyways, I still have like 38 credits to take. So, even with an internship, I can be done with everything by Fall 2015. So, not only could I finish a semester earlier than I had originally planned, but I could do that along with taking a semester off for an internship!!! So that's super exciting!! WOO!!!

And there is even better news! Haha. After I get all of my required classes done, I will still need something like 13 elective credits. As much as it would be kind of fun to take super random classes my last semester, I realized that I can actually make use of those elective credits and add a major and a separate minor. So basically, I will dual major in Business Administration and Marketing and get an HR (or other) minor. IT"S SO GREAT!!! Well, it's great to me!! Now I just need to figure out what I can do with my life after I graduate... yikes!

So, in other news, we had a long weekend for MLK day. My wonderful sister Regan came to Logan to visit and we partied!! Well, kind of!! On Saturday, we headed down to Park City for the Sundance Film Festival! It was a great time!! Although it was freezing, we visited lots of little shops and drove around Park City for the day, which was really cool. I definitely want to go next year! Sunday was church, obviously, and then we just hung out and played games with friends. Monday was a catch-up day. We did homework, cleaned the apartment, went grocery shopping, and got Chinese food. #collegelyfe

And after a long and much-needed break, it's back to the ol' grind. But on the plus side, Amber's birthday is on Saturday!!! Party Hardy! :D

Here's to 2014!!

Well, it's officially the new year!!! I could not be more ready for it! Even though New Year's resolutions are a little cliche and almost always forgotten, I've come up with a few of my own to attempt...that's better than nothing, right?? So here's to new opportunities in 2014! WOO!

And with the new year comes a new semester!! Although it's my fourth semester, I'm technically a junior, so that's awesome! My classes are going well so far. I have seven with my two institute classes, so it's been pretty busy! Here's my schedule:

Operations Management: This seems to be an interesting class, and not too hard! The only challenge is that my professor has a pretty strong accent so sometimes it's hard to understand her. Plus, it's at 8:30 in the morning...Other than that, I like it!
Economics 3400 (Global Economics) My professor is really friendly and nice, and always talks about how she is German and loves alcohol. Haha. It's hilarious.
Business Communications: This is basically a business-based technical writing class. And it's funny because the three professors that teach it remind me of stereotypical "mom"-type high school English teachers. It's kind of nice, though.
Intro to Human Resource Management: This should be an interesting class. My professor is the adviser for WIBA (Women in Business Association), so I know her well, which is always a plus.
Natural Disasters: Man, this class can be really cool and also super depressing. I needed one to fulfill my depth requirement, and this one seemed easy, so that's why I'm taking it.
Institute: I tend to jump around and take random institute classes every semester without paying attention to order or anything, but this year, I am actually taking both parts of a class in order. Crazy!! Last semester I took Book of Mormon part 1, and I'm in part 2 this semester. I'm also helping out with the special needs class, which I'm so excited about!! I've only been to one class, but I can already see what sweet spirits there are.

WOO! So that's what I do with my life every week. Plus, I'm drumming with the bag-pipe band, (I know... how awesome is that?! We have a bag-pipe band!!) I'm on the executive board for WIBA, and got called last semester as the second counselor in the Relief Society presidency. Yeah, I tend to stay pretty busy!! But I love every second of it!! I'm also looking into internships to do before I graduate. One of the biggest ones on my radar would be to go to Ghana for the SEED program (Small Enterprise Education and Development). But I'm looking into lots and trying to find something that fits with my major and everything.

Anyways, I'm hoping to post on here once a week (it's a resolution!), so I'm going to try to make it happen. But as for now, I'm going to do some homework and maybe watch an episode on Netflix... I know, rebel status. Boom.
